Willoway Indoor Swimming Pool & Fitness Center

You must join and become a member to use the indoor swimming pool, spa and fitness center. After you have become a member you may purchase a punch card to bring a guest (grandchildren, relative, neighbor or friend) with you into the facility to swim or work out. Membership costs are listed below.

The indoor swimming pool is 24 ft. X 50 ft. starting at a depth of 6 inches to 5 ft. 6 inches. No diving. We also have a 4 person spa (hot tub).The fitness center offers a variety of cardiovascular and strength training Life Fitness Equipment such as; Treadmills, Elliptical, Recumbent Bike and stepper, Chest press, ab bench, free weights and more.

Rentals: A meeting/party room is available for rent at the Willoway Complex. A kitchen is available with serving area. Rent the meeting/party room for a business meeting, baby shower, wedding shower, organization event, family gathering or holiday gathering. Reserve the indoor swimming pool and dining room for a pool party, birthday party, family gathering, holiday gathering or any other occasion.

Prairie Heritage Center

Wild Flowers - Conservation

The purpose of the Prairie Heritage Center is to provide environmental education as it relates to the prairie and the county, to preserve and protect our prairie heritage, and to encourage economic development with regards to recreation and historic exploration. Experience the sights, sounds and smells of the tallgrass prairie! Enjoy the displays, hike the trails, savor the wildflowers, and engage in bird and wildlife watching. Every season of the year is a great one on the prairie! Check out all of the events and things to do at the Prairie Heritage Center.

Dog Creek’s breathtaking view of the lake and valley is something to see. It’s located along the Glacial Trail Scenic Byway.

Dog Creek Park is located 2 miles SE of Sutherland, Iowa on Iowa Highway 10 and 1/2 mile south on Warbler Avenue (Cty Rd M12) and placed along the Glacial Trail Scenic Byway.

The 6 person camping cabin rates are $40.00/night Sunday – Thursday and $45.00/night for Friday, Saturday and Holidays.  All cabins have a 2-night minimum and a $100.00 deposit is required. Check-in times for the cabins is 1:00p.m. Monday – Saturday and 6:00p.m. Sunday and Holidays.  Check-out time is 11:00a.m  Monday – Saturday and 4:00p.m. Sunday and Holidays.

Dog Creek Park camping sites rates are $15.00/night. Camping coupons will be available to purchase 10 coupons for $120.00.

Our Saddle Club is very active.  We hold nine fun shows and several trail rides each summer. Other activities include winter fun days in neighboring Sioux Center, Iowa, the Northwest Iowa Horse Association Show, local parade entries and overnight trail rides.  The Club has an annual potluck and general membership meeting every fall.
