NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING – PROPOSED PROPERTY TAX LEVY
The City of Sutherland will hold a Proposed Property Tax Levy public hearing on February 1st @ 7pm at the R.L. Johannsen Center in the meeting room. It is required by law that the local government issue a form showing the proposed levy.
It is important to understand that this is not the total property tax levy. This levy rate does not include Support Public Library, Ag Land and Debt Service levies. It is also important to understand this does not mean this is the finalized rate the City will use, it means the City cannot levy for more than what is proposed on the levies in this notice. When the City’s budget is finalized, the actual tax levy will be published as another public hearing notice. Please contact City Hall with any questions – 712-446-2243.
